Decided it was time for some moutain skiing, so Mark Davis and I headed up to Granite, to see what snow may be left. Snow line starts around 3000 feet, so you have to hike in about 2.5 miles. Since Mark and I have climbed this many times, we headed up the main avalanche gulley once we hit enough snow to kick steps. I switched over to skis and skins around 4000, but ended up pulling them off at the crest of the gulley, since so much snow has still remained, creating a very steep over hang. We hit the top in about 3.5 hours, and were down in 1.5 hours. Great skiing, and great conditions.
